Employee Benefits: Short Term Disability

Short-term Disability replaces a portion of employees’ weekly earnings should an employee become disabled as a result of accident and sickness and are unable to perform the whole of the duties of their regular occupation.  Under this benefit, the employee is entitled to income replacement. This is another benefit that can be completely non-taxable.
